MDM Cooking Cost Transfer to student bank Account:- Very big and good news coming from Govt of India. Now Central Govt decided that cooking cost component of the Mid-Day-Meal Scheme,Which was not use during this pandemic situation will transfer to the beneficiary student bank account directly .Government to Provide Monetary Assistance through DBT under MDM Scheme.About 11.8 Cr students to be benefited.Additional Funds of about Rs.1200 Cr to be provided for the purpose.

Yesterday he Union Minister for Education Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ has approved the proposal.
“Under this Proposal,provide monetary assistance to 11.8 Crore students (118 Million Students) through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of the cooking cost component of the Mid-Day-Meal Scheme, to all eligible children, as a special welfare measure. This will give a fillip to the Midday Meal programme.”

এত দিন শুকনো খাবার ছাত্রছাত্রীদেরকে তাঁদের অভিভাবকদের মাধ্যমে সরকার বাড়িতে পৌঁছে দিচ্ছিল ,এবার এক যুগান্তকারী সিধান্তের কথা ঘোষণা করেছে কেন্দ্র সরকার। মধ্যাহ্নকালীন আহার কর্মসূচির রান্নার খরচ বাবদ যে অর্থ বেঁচে গিয়েছে সেই অর্থ সরাসরি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের ব্যাঙ্ক একাউন্টে সরাসরি পৌঁছে দেওয়া হবে Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)} স্কিমের মাধ্যমে।
একটি খবরে উঠে এসেছে প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের পড়ুয়াদের জন্য 200 টাকা করে এবং উচ্চ প্রাথমিক বিদ্যালয়ের পড়ুয়াদের জন্য 300 টাকা করে সরাসরি ছাত্রছাত্রীদের ব্যাঙ্ক একাউন্টে পাঠিয়ে দেবে কেন্দ্র সরকার।

এই আর্থিক সাহায্য ছাত্রছাত্রীদের সার্বিক কল্যাণের অঙ্গ হিসেবে দেওয়া হবে। পক্ষান্তরে, মধ্যাহ্নকালীন আহার কর্মসূচিতে আরও অগ্রগতি ঘটবে। উল্লেখ করা যেতে পারে, কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার প্রধানমন্ত্রী গরীব কল্যাণ অন্ন যোজনার (পিএম-জিকেএওয়াই) আওতায় প্রায় ৮০ কোটি সুফলভোগীকে প্রতি মাসে বিনামূল্যে ৫ কেজি করে খাদ্যশস্য বন্টনের কথা ঘোষণা করে।
সরকারের এই সিদ্ধান্তের ফলে শিশুদের সুষম আহার ও পুষ্টির মান বজায় রাখা সম্ভব হবে এবং বর্তমান মহামারীজনিত জটিল পরিস্থিতিতে তাদের রোগ প্রতিরোধক ক্ষমতা আরও বাড়াতে সাহায্য করবে।
কেন্দ্রীয় সরকার এই খাতে রাজ্য সরকার ও কেন্দ্রশাসিত প্রশাসনগুলিকে প্রায় ১,২০০ কোটি টাকার অতিরিক্ত আর্থিক সাহায্য দেবে। সরকারের এককালীন এই আর্থিক সুবিধার ফলে প্রথম থেকে অষ্টম শ্রেণী পর্যন্ত প্রায় ১১ কোটি ৮০ লক্ষ পড়ুয়া লাভবান হবে। বর্তমানে সরকারি ও সরকারি সাহায্যপ্রাপ্ত বিদ্যালয়ের সংখ্যা সারা দেশে ১১ লক্ষ ২০ হাজার।
